Aaron Douglas Gallery at Fisk Features Classic Harlem Artists in New Exhibit

Harlem Masters: Selections from Fisk’s Harmon Foundation Collection” is the latest exhibit featured in The Aaron Douglas Gallery at Fisk University and runs from now until October 31.

Fisk University was founded by members of the American Missionary Association in 1866, three years after the final signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, a document issued by President Abraham Lincoln proclaiming that all persons held as slaves would become free.
