David Sanborn, Here & Gone

David Sanborn, "Here & Gone"

Typically within a couple of notes, music enthusiasts can identify the bluesy signature squawk, and tone of St. Louis native David Sanborn. The illustrious career of this six-time Grammy winner sits humbly at the number two position next to Grover Washington Jr. as the second most influential saxophonists in modern music for more then thirty years.

An inimitable beacon in the music world Sanborn resurfaces and armed with passion after a three-year hiatus from recording. Simone on Simone

The lovely, unique and gifted daughter of jazz virtuoso Nina Simone follows wisely in the ordained footprints of her mother.

Back in May of this year Simone made her debut with a fascinating new record on Koch Records titled “Simone on Simone.”

At first, I was a little suspect because of the cliche’ that usually derives around family opening doors for non-talented members. That said, I hear divine favor unfold here as I humbly rejoice in the spirit of  Simone’s voice as it roars with rich distinction, excitement and inspiration. – J Desmond

Please visit, SimonesWorld for more details about this promising new voice.
