Pat Metheny - ORCHESTRION

Seventeen-time Grammy Award-winner Pat Metheny once again explores new territory with his forthcoming project, Orchestrion. Following the album’s January 26 CD release on Nonesuch Records (February 9 on vinyl), the genre-shattering guitarist/composer will embark on an extensive solo tour, performing in arts centers and concert halls nationwide.

A limited-edition 9″x12″ print of the cover image signed by Pat Metheny is available now with Orchestrion CD or LP pre-orders, exclusively at nonesuch.com, to the first 500 customers. Daniel Davis | Play For Me – [DD Pro Records, 2009]

Daniel Davis, Play For Me

The creation of this record elevates the violin to the forefront to showcase its beauty and sound. Each song on this record gives a different feel and vibe, from neo-soul, jazz, R&B, and Hip Hop.

The uniqueness is experienced through the artist’s improvisational skills and melodic riffs. Primarily known for its classical roots the violin has the ability to cross genres. Vocals are used in many of the compositions to add more flavor.

Did someone say, this ain’t your Daddy’s jazz? This young blood serves up a tasty blend of hip-hop, R&B, with a touch of jazz for the discriminating listener!
