“HAPPY HOLIDAYS” jazz enthusiasts, as always I’m delighted to be among my brothers and sisters as we passionately dwell in landscape of our beloved music … “JAZZ.” In reality, words can’t possibly express the gratitude I have for you, your time, passion for music and of course visiting “The Urban Flux” on a regular basis. Thank you so very, very much!!

As you know, we all celebrate this holiday season in a variety of ways. In our household, we celebrate CHRISTMAS as the day our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST was born! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS! As the 2010 comes to and end, our hope and prayers are that you regardless of faith, culture or graphical location may you, your family, friends and foes alike have a safe and prosperous CHRISTMAS and upcoming NEW YEAR!

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, to men on whom his favor rests.” —Luke 2:14

It’s been a very difficult, extreme and taxing year for a lot of people in and out of our lives. Even so, we’re honored and privileged to have the strength, willingness and desire to spread LOVE, PEACE and JOY to others by giving to those in need. We believe in our heart and spirit this is WWJD (What Would JESUS Do), therefore as family we shall honor Him and do the same wholeheartedly with LOVE. —Rob Young | The Urban Flux

Jeremy Pelt - TALENTED MR. PELT (2011)

Jeremy Pelt -][- TALENTED MR. PELT – [HighNote, 2011] – January 25, 2011 –

Jeremy Pelt’s “The Talented Mr. Pelt” is just the kind of album one thinks of when it comes to how jazz is supposed to be: cool, confident, swinging and just a little mysterious.

Pelt’s group is that rarest of all things in jazz, a working band, and the familiarity and communication that come from extensive time spent playing together is evident.

All the players are among the foremost 30-something neo-bop players in jazz today giving the group an all-star-type reputation with a well-rehearsed sound that comes only with familiarity and countless gigs. —Amazon.com
