Blazin’ Quartet -][- JALKAN BAZZ – [Challenge Records International, 2012] –

Jalkan Bazz is the second album of the Blazin’ Quartet, recorded with producer and guest guitarist/vocalist the cult artist from Yugoslavia – Rambo Amadeus. The album is published in ex-Yugoslavian territory by Metropolis Records and besides sale directly from the band will be soon available in the rest of the world.

e.s.t. Esbjörn Svensson Trio -][- 301 –Mp3– [Act Music, 2012 | Review] –

In the wake of the tragic passing of critically acclaimed pianist-composer Esbjörn Svensson a new album is revitalized and titled “301,” this is the Trio’s second full release and follow up to “Leucocyte” since his accidental death in 2008.

Fans are undoubtedly sadden by this untimely lost, and now it’s time to respectfully pay homage to this phenomenal artist. Svensson’s sidekicks are triumphant in their quest to release another compelling adventure of jazz and improvisation spanning from a volume of uncharted music to set a new standard in this genre featuring Esbjörn Svensson on piano, Dan Berglund – double bass/electronics and Magnus Ostrom on drums, voices and electronics. Joan Torres All Is Fused, BEFORE

Joan Torres’s All Is Fused -][- BEFORE –Mp3– [Joan Torres, 2012] –

Even at a young age, Joan Torres was drawn to music. As a little boy he had a small guitar and then a small keyboard with which he spent a lot of time making “interesting” sounds. It wasn’t until he was 10 years old that he seriously considered starting playing an instrument with a group. He chose the bass and when he turned 11 he finally got one and his life was changed forever.

He began studying the instrument with a private instructor then individually when the instructor moved away. He formed a Rock band with a couple of friends from school when he was in 8th grade (2001) and they basically covered songs to perform in talent shows and class parties. Continue reading →
