Jazzy, edgy, moody, cinematic, jammy, creative, hard hitting, cinematic music. This collection of compositions written by Charles Compo was recorded in a couple of days up in the woods at Hal Winer’s Bi Coastal Music. Each song highlights the creativity and energy of a group of musicians that have played together in and around New York in various combinations for over twenty years. The music can be described as expressive contemporary jazz that tells a story.

Charles Compo (Sax, Flute, Guitar) has performed and recorded over the years with a diverse list of creative artist like William Hooker and Sonny Sharrock, and has also performed with classic stars and divas like Martha Reeves and Christina Aguilera.

Ted Daniel (Trumpet) is a composer, bandleader and jazz historian, he has participated on over thirty published recordings with such great artists as Archie Shepp, Dewey Redman, Andrew Cyrille, Sam Rivers, Billy Bang and Henry Threadgill.

Camille Gainer (Drums) has has established herself with a rich career poised with artistic ability and versatility as a drummer, musical director and producer. She has worked with such artist as: Antonio Hart, J.T. Taylor, Steve Coleman, Michael Urbaniak, Chuck Mangione, Kelis, Monifa, Tom Browne, Roy Ayers, Angela Bofill, Noel Pointer, Lonnie Liston Smith, Christian McBride.
