Philip Baker, HIGHER and HIGHER

Philip Baker -][- HIGHER and HIGHER –Mp3– [Lmg Records, 2012] –

This project is my first since my mother passed in 2007. The melodies here tell a story of healing and realizations I have come to embrace along this to culmination. There is so much legacy here, reflecting the deposit she made into my siblings (8 of us) and I through the years. This project includes music that my son Samuel wrote when he was 13 years of age, as well as songs he helped produce/critique. It also includes the executive direction and consultation of one of my mentors John Stevenson. Also, it includes the creative foresight of another artist Bill Parrish, a great musician and songwriter.

The melodies here in this project as always are dedicated back to my Heavenly Father, but also to my mother as well. R.I.P. DBC! We desire that you enjoy this music while you drive, relax, and live your life to the fullest with much success! Life Music! Live a Life of Success! -[Album Notes | CDBaby]-

Todd Clouser’s A Love Electric -][- Entre: Selections in Garage Jazz –Mp3– [The Royal Potato Family, 2012] –

Todd Clouser is a Baja, Mexico-based guitarist whose genre-defying compositions and passionate live performances have earned the praise of musicians, critics, and lovers of jazz and rock alike. His newest full-length release Todd Clouser’s A Love Electric, released February 1, 2011 on indie jazz tastemaker label Ropeadope, is an intuitive blend of 70’s rock, Curtis Mayfield groove, and modern jazz, featuring eleven original compositions and two covers: Harry Nilsson’s “One” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” Continue reading →
