The Cookers have been touring in support of their “cooking” release Believe since the summer, igniting crowds at major venues and festivals including the Playboy Jazz Festival, the Vancouver Jazz Festival, Caramoor Jazz Festival and more with DownBeat hailing the super-group “a must-see band on the festival circuit.”
The Cooker’s excellent performance at the Caramoor Festival this past summer was such a hit that this holiday season the set will be featured on , the nation’s premier radio outlet. Capping off the year, The Cookers celebrate their first show in NYC in celebration of their release Believe, December 12th at 92Y Tribeca which will be broadcast live by WBGO’s The. Produced by Josh Jackson (and syndicated/archived on NPR Music), the night features The Cookers in a double bill with fellow Motema artist, Geri Allen.
The momentum continues through 2013 as The Cookers start off the year performing at Winter Jazzfest, January 12th at (Le) Poisson Rouge.
