Anne Guus Teerhuis Trio ::|:: Tarhouse Tales – [YPF Artists, 2010]
-::BIO::- Anne Guus (1981) started playing piano age 5. He received classical lessons initially, and started playing jazz at age 13. At age 16 he got in the final of a national Petrov piano competition, playing his own compositions as well as transcriptions of Oscar Peterson and Michel Camilo. November 2006 he finished dentistry at the faculty of medical science in Groningen, Holland. June 2007 he finished summa cum laude at the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen, with the ‘New York comes to Groningen’ project.
July 2008 he played with his trio in the final of the Dutch Jazz Competition at the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam. January 2009 he won the YPF piano concours at the Bimhuis, Amsterdam. Currently Anne Guus is working part-time as a dentist and part-time as a pianist/composer.
