“Drummer Da Fonseca perhaps the best Brazilian trap drummer of his generation, plays with an uncommon mix of finesse and drive” – Mark Holston, Jazziz Magazine

Duduka Da Fonseca QUINTET, Jazz Samba – Jazz Exploration

Drummer/Composer Duduka Da Fonseca is a blender, set at high speed. The Brazilian drummer (born in Rio De Janeiro in 1951), who arrived in New York City in 1975, has been actively exploring the perfect marriage and mixture of jazz and samba since forming his first Samba Jazz trio as a precocious 14 year old (a band he called “Bossa Trio”), with brother Miguel on bass. Eli Degibri - Israeli Song

Eli Degibri -][- Israeli Song – [ANZIC RECORDS, 2010]

On Israeli Song, rising star Eli Degibri brings together two of his mentors, jazz legends Ron Carter on bass and Al Foster on drums, with one of today’s most innovative pianists Brad Mehldau.

On this recording Degibri displays his talents as both a gifted composer and a dazzling and fluid performer. From intricate bop excursions to delicate, swinging ballads, Degibri and his all star quartet play with a near telepathic chemistry.

By not only paying tribute, but actually playing with his inspirations, Degibri has achieved many a jazz musicians dream and has created a modern day masterpiece
