In the wake of the tragic passing of critically acclaimed pianist-composer Esbjörn Svensson a new album is revitalized and titled “301,” this is the Trio’s second full release and follow up to “Leucocyte” since his accidental death in 2008.

Fans are undoubtedly sadden by this untimely lost, and now it’s time to respectfully pay homage to this phenomenal artist. Svensson’s sidekicks are triumphant in their quest to release another compelling adventure of jazz and improvisation spanning from a volume of uncharted music to set a new standard in this genre featuring Esbjörn Svensson on piano, Dan Berglund – double bass/electronics and Magnus Ostrom on drums, voices and electronics. ACT Music announces the release of 301, a full album of previously unheard material by e.s.t. (Esbjörn Svensson Trio), available on May 8. The album is a follow up to e.s.t.’s 2008 effort, Leucocyte, and is the group’s second album following pianist Esbjörn Svensson’s tragic death (prior to Leucocyte’s release). Heralded as one of the most exciting jazz bands of the decade, the seven-track album features Svensson with his longtime band mates, drummer Magnus Öström and bassist Dan Berglund.
