A commission from New York State Council on the Arts and Flushing Town Hall.
World premiere by jazz pianist/composer Daniel Kelly that incorporates recorded interviews with Flushing community members on the topics of daily life, culture & immigration. Rakonto (story in Esperanto) uses these personal histories as the basis for an imaginative ode to the people of Flushing. Daniel is joined by an international ensemble of world-class musicians.
