Mads Vinding Trio - OPEN MINDS

Mads Vinding TRIO ]|[ OPEN MIND -(MP3)- [Storyville Records, 2011]

An amazing new trio recording featuring legendary bassist Mads Vinding alongside pianist Jean-Michel Pilc and drummer Billy Hart.

World-famous Danish bass player Mads Vinding has performed all over the world and recorded with an impressive list of jazz masters including Hank Jones and Stan Getz. For more than 35 years Mads has collaborated with Billy Hart, one of the most influential, melodic, and creative drummers in jazz. He has recorded more than 600 records with the likes of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Wayne Shorter, and has twice won the first place in DownBeat Critics Poll.

French-born Jean-Michel Pilc has lived in New York since 1995. He has played with Richard Bona, Michael Brecker, Marcus Miller, and Kenny Garrett, and is pianist and musical leader for Harry Belafonte.
