The exquisitely enticing internationally renowned singer Magos Herrera is a brilliant exponent of her country’s magnificent musical heritage, as evidenced by her sumptuous sophomore Sunnyside release, Mexico Azul; a twenty first century treatment of several Mexican film standards, brilliantly rendered by an all-star New York City-based cadre of jazz giants, including trumpeter Tim Hagans, guitarist Adam Rogers, pianist Luis Perdomo, bassist John Patitucci, drummer Alex Kautz, percussionist Rogerio Bocatto and producer (and Sunnyside labelmate) Tim Ries, who first featured Herrera on his Stones World CD on the same label.
